The UltraHLE site has been updated with some really cool news. RealityMan has posted some news regarding the progress of UltraHLE and gives us other information. In addition to this, jandaman, the webmaster of the site, has uploaded a few screenshots. Here's what RealityMan had to say:
Anyway, those of you who know me personally will know the reasons why I haven't been active publically over recent months (I won't elaborate here) and although development has been slow it has not been fruitless. The OpenGL core is now working well with both my TNT2 and Voodoo3 cards so I have moved the project on to the next stage, improving compatibility. Many of the roms which currently fail with UltraHLE v1.0.0 have common problems which relate, more often than not, to low level compatibility (or lack of I should say). These are being addressed one by one and once non-working roms are starting to produce some encouraging results. Aside from compatibility, the other area to be addressed now is improving the HLE engine. I am currently working on a redesign to include all the latest functions and microcode used in newer roms. I will update very soon with some more information. - RealityMan - |
