The official homepage of Daedalus, one of the more recent Nintendo64 emulators for Windows, was updated with news of release v0.06b! Here's some of the things that have changed:

  • Fixed texture load bug (fixes corrupt textures when TEXEL1 is used).
  • Fixed ucode 5 texturing/lighting bugs.
  • Fixed RSP SRLV/SRAV/SLLV disassembly.
  • All lighting / transformation now done manually (this was done to implement fogging, but in the process it helped me fix a few bugs and optimise a few things). These changes have also removed the need for the ScaleFactor hack and some of the viewport problems.
  • Started work on fogging (but the range is still not quite right).
  • Added Orkin's combiner changes - lots of things are the right colours now!
  • Fixed TexRect bug.

Lee Yars Quest released
(posted by Lee - 09:43)

A long awaited game for the Atari VCS "simulator" (read the hompage for more information) is now available for download.
The game follows on from the classic shootemup, Yars Revenge which has been voted one of the best releases for the Atari2600 and this looks (at this time Ive not played it..yet!) just as good with new weapons and even has Video Touch Pad support and Easter Eggs to find.

Now get your sweaty paws on it...
