Click the link below to see the project working it's magic. [UPDATE] The page has been updated with even more good news. They have the game running up to the Character Select screen. Here is what was stated in the update:
screens and start a game. the bad news: 1) when i start a game, after player selection the program dies. i think this is probably just a bug in the CPU or memory mapping. 2) the KI board sux bad. everythings is done is 'software' with no hardware assist at all. thus it is slow and looks shitty (well, it looks like it does on the real KI machine, which compared to todays 3D cards is pretty shitty) 3) since everything is done in software, it is very slow. next steps: i'll try and track down the problem so that at least you can slowly play a game. once that is done, then i will need to go into the code and painstakingly reverse all the gfx code and come up with a system for a high level interface. this will greatly improve the speed and the quality of the graphics. this will be very similar to what Bleem! does with the PSX emulator. this process will take a long ass time. Cheers, AnonGuy Now for some in game screens click the link below and see how this emulator is progressing. Link: KIAEP |
