Double Dragon has a long history.
I used to play it in the arcades when i was a kid, then my father gave me a Sega Master System.
How that was FUN! My cousin and I used to play it a LOT in SMS, we just loved this game.
Billy and Jimmy Lee were some kind of idols for us, punching, kicking and throwing stuff at those bad guys was the funniest thing in world.
I think that the SMS port of Double Dragon is one of the best.
It's playablity is really great and simple: one button kicks, the other punches, both togheter jumps with a flying kick.
Other kinds of moves were done using the directional pad, like the head hit (F+F).

The bosses were a bit like repetivive, but still fun.
The Abobo (the big guy on the pic) was that kind of 'monster' guy, only muscles, no brain and the idea to kick YOUR ass.

The normal baddies were all the same, but to make it 'different' they had different colours.
The most 'dark' or 'reddish' carachters were stronger and smarter.
The game featured lots of stuff to use and throw, like barrels, whips, boxes & other stuff.

Here's the first stage boss. YES, it is the Abobo again, but take a look, he's darker now, he's the BOSS and he's stronger (and on the floor! I'm still good with this hehe).

All stage endings were quite simple, only showing you your score and bonus points.
It's a good time to make a good pose (look, i'm flying!).

The game has lots of different sceneries, like a city, a industrial region, a forest...
As you finish stages, you discover more weapons, like this baseball bat. (That's gotta hurt.)

Final comment: This is a game that anyone should try. It's really fun, playable and has that 'classic soul'.
It reminds me of the good SMS time, thanks to emulation I can continue playing all these classics!
